About Us

Art of Wine is owner operated by two outcasts from high-tech in the Bay Area of California. Byron and Hilary Alexander met in 1987 when they both worked for Hewlett-Packard. Byron became an independent software consultant when the couple's daughter was born in 1996. They always had an 'intuitive' love of art, and a more prominent love of wine, manifested in their annual trips to the wine country to stock their ever growing personal wine cellar. In 2001, as their daughter was about to start school, they moved to the natural beauty surrounding Eureka. When they both finally quit the world of high tech at the end of 2004 they started to plan their next step in life and "Art of Wine" was born, opening its doors to an exciting Art's Alive on November 3rd, 2005.

We are located at 308 2nd Street in Old Town, Eureka. The original Eureka downtown is becoming a beautiful place to eat, drink shop and explore. The newly renovated boardwalk is just two blocks from us. Enjoy the sights of the marina, a meal in one of our fabulous restaurants, shopping in numerous boutique stores (including the original Restoration Hardware) and a rest stop for soothing music, delicious wine and breathtaking artworks in Art of Wine.

Our current hours are Tuesday - Friday: 12pm - 6pm and Saturday 12pm - 8pm
